February 7, 2022 Employees buy family-owned Pepperell farm for $1.2M By Katherine Hamilton After 94 years of ownership, the Hills family sold Kimball Fruit Farm in Pepperell for almost $1.2 million, according to the Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds and an announcement on the farm’s website. Carl and Marie Hills, who have managed the farm since 1990, announced their retirement on Feb. 3, four days before the sale closed. The Hills family and its relatives have owned the farm since 1928.
